It is managed by the Recognition Committee of CCI's Board of Directors and is presented at the [AORN Global Surgical Conference and Expo](https://www.aorn.org/surgical-expo) each Spring. The nomination deadline for the 2026 award is *December 31st, 2025*.  All RNs with current CCI certifications who have also volunteered with CCI are eligible to receive this award.
