While the process is designed to be straightforward, a few common mistakes can create unnecessary headaches. The good news? A little preparation can help you keep your recertification experience fright-free. **🎃**  ### **Don't Get Haunted by an Incorrect Application 🧟**   Before you submit your recertification application, take a moment to verify that you've selected the correct application for your credential. Doing so can help prevent delays and ensure your application is processed as efficiently as possible. Pro tip: Your [CCI account dashboard](https://account.cc-institute.org/) is the best place to confirm which application you should complete.   ## **Don't Let Recent Recertification Changes Spook You 👻**   At the beginning of the year, we introduced several updates designed to make recertification more flexible and user-friendly. Some of the biggest changes include: - No more accrual periods, meaning you have your full 3-year or 5-year period to earn points depending on your credential! - No activity category caps on your points - Greater flexibility in how and when you earn recertification points   These changes were made to provide certificants with more freedom throughout their recertification cycle while still supporting ongoing professional development.
