The Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR^®) credential is the only accredited certification for perioperative registered nurses. CNOR certification assesses the knowledge and skills of a perioperative nurse with a minimum of two years of clinical practice.

The Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM^®) certification is the only perioperative management credential for perioperative managers, directors, and nurses who oversee personnel, a budget, business unit, or service line.

The Certified Ambulatory Surgery Nurse (CNAMB^®) certification is designed for perioperative nurses working in the ambulatory surgery setting who are seeking to improve and validate their professional competencies.

The Certified Foundational Perioperative Nurse (CFPN®) credential is designed to give perioperative nurses a firm foundation for career-long professional development success. CFPN assesses the knowledge and skills of an early career perioperative nurse with under 23 months of experience from the initial hire date in the OR.

Complete Your Recert Assignment 

Make sure you stay on top of your recertification assignment by completing all your points on time during your accrual years! AND, if it's your year to recert, don't forget to submit your recertification application before the deadline. Now's a good time as any with our $25 back-to-school recert discount! 

If you cannot complete your recertification requirements, ensure you file an extension on your assignment with us!

Our Nursing Continuous Professional Development activities are mini-courses on relevant topics and conversations currently happening in nursing in healthcare. Completing these activities will earn you extra credit in the form of contact hours!

Want to be a part of the CCI student government? This semester, we are currently taking nominations for periop-passionate individuals to join either our Board of Directors or Certification Council. Seats are open for both certificant members and non-nurse, public members. 

This fall, nominate your facility for our “honor roll” by applying for the CNOR Strong Award! We invite you to submit your application in November and join our distinguished honor society.

If you are looking for more of a social club, apply to be a part of our Certification Coaches program. Our Coaches mentor fellow nurses in their respective facilities and promote certification. Want to join? Applications open in November as well.
